The locally based players will be trimmed to eleven after Saturday

Midfielder Shafik Batambuze and defender Ronald Mukiibi are some of the new faces that coach Micho Sredojevic has summoned to face Zambia in a friendly on November 8th as well as the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Congo Brazzaville four days later.

Swedish born Mukiibi plays for Ostersunds Football Club in the same country while Batambuze who is currently at Tusker, has been one of the most outstanding players in the Kenya Premier League.

A squad of 19 and 22 professional and local based players respectively were announced on Wednesday during the weekly FUFA press conference at Mengo.

The locally based players will be trimmed to eleven after Cranes' friendly against a Kampala select side on Saturday at Wankulukuku Stadium.

"We have summoned 19 professionals and 22 locally based players all of whom have equal chances to fight for the places on the team to face Congo Brazzaville. First we have a match against the Kampala team at Wankulukuku on Saturday, then the Zambia friendly match," Micho stated.

"Those who prove themselves will be selected" he added.
