Makerere chasing spot in University League final

Makerere University fancy their chances of winning this year's Nile Special University Football League.

They face Kampala University in the first semi-final of the league on Wednesday at Luzira Prison ground.

"We have a dream of lifting the trophy this season and I am sure that we shall. But first we need to get past Kampala University. The boys are well rested and I am sure it shall be a good game for us. We shall definitely rise to the occasion" stated Deo Bamweyana the Makerere coach.

Makerere and Kampala who have each won the title in the past, last met early this season in the group stages where they settled for a 1-1 draw.

"There will be challenges all over the pitch and there will be a lot of fighting for the ball. I expect it to be intense" said KU coach Vincent Tumusiime.
