Police in Mbarara is holding one of their own for allegedly demanding for sh20,000 bribe from a couple whose 4-yr-old daughter was allegedly defiled.
Cpl. Annet Asiimwe was arrested on Wednesday morning for allegedly demanding for the money to facilitate her investigations into the case.
The alleged defilement happened in Alliance, Kakoba division in Mbarara Municipality.
The Mbarara DPC Jafar Magyezi said Asiimwe will be taken to court as investigations into the matter continue.
