Scaling Mt. Kilimanjaro in the name of women's land rights

Two Uganda women, Irene Cheproek and Pauline Apio have gone into the annals of history for championing the crusade for women to own land in Africa.

Armed with courage and pregnant with expectations they joined 32 others from the rest of the continent.

Together they scaled its point, on Mount Kilimanjaro, to symbolically advocate for land rights for the rural women who till the land and feed the people.
