Premier League: JMC Hippos 0 Soana 1

Oct 16, 2016

Both sides struggled to create any clear-cut chances throughout the game.

It was goalkeeping error as JMC Hippos continued with their indifferent start to the season with defeat at home against Soana FC on Saturday at Kakindu Stadium.

Soana's David Ssali's angled free-kick from 30 yards beat goalkeeper Benson Wagima as coach Sam Ssimbwa's side bagged a crucial away three points from a dull encounter.

Both sides struggled to create any clear-cut chances throughout the game as both Wagima and his opposite Ddidi Mohamed remained mostly untroubled.

Much of ball play was in the midfield as JMC failed to register a first league of this campaign.

''I am happy that we have won today and this win will take us places on the table standings , though my players kind of got intimidated by last season's results here where we lost 4-0," said Ssimbwa.

His opposite George Lutalo was left consoling his lads.

"It's a lesson from my young players as they have drawn more ideas on how to approach matches. But my concern is how will they react and work on their mistakes in order to have their first win of the season."
