Makerere Vs Kyambogo league game postponed

Oct 11, 2016

The game was due to be played on Wednesday

The University Football League (UFL) has been forced to postpone the return leg of the quarterfinal of its competition between Kyambogo and Makerere university because Maroons stadium is unavailable.

The game was due to be played on Wednesday at the stadium but the league manager Anthony Tumwesigye said  Luzira Prisons officials had advised them to push the game to Friday because state minister internal Affairs will be visiting the facility.

Matches between Kyambogo and Makerere are always explosive with fans of both universities fighting each other. Prisons officials fear it could be the same case this time round and get the minister snared in there.

The first leg of the Nile Special University Football League last month ended in a 2-0 win for Makerere University.
