Family sources say he threw up and collapsed in an airport bathroom.

Tributes have continued to flow for a Ugandan man living in the US southern state of Texas who died after collapsing in a bathroom at the Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) international airport.

Uncle Adam Senyonga, as he was best known, is reported to have been pronounced dead by medical staff at a nearby hospital on Friday.

eadm.news, which publishes news about East Africans living in the diaspora, quoted family sources as saying that Senyonga had just dropped a passenger at the airport, went to the bathroom, threw up and collapsed.

This, according to the source, could have happened in a space of about 15 minutes.

The cause of Senyonga's death was not known yet pending a post mortem report by Baylor Hospital, where his body lay after he was pronounced dead in the facility's emergency room Friday evening.

A family member told mourners who had gathered at his residence in Fort Worth that medics tried to resuscitate him, but failed.

"His abrupt death has ruined this address of joy," his wife of nearly 30 years, Betty Senyonga, is reported to have lamented.

Plans to fly his body back home are under way and this is a message about how wellwishers can contribute to this:
