Kireka takes on DMARK in chess league

DMARK has been the defending champions of the NCL for over five years.

It is safe to say that DMARK are up for a challenge against the Kireka chess club in the last game of the National Chess League (NCL) over the weekend at Hotel Africana Kampala.

DMARK has been the defending champions of the NCL for over five years.

Following the preceding rounds 11 and 12 of the League, DMARK (24points) came in first position after it beat Mulago Knights(13) and Mulago Kings(18) while its opponent Kireka whipped Mulago Kings and Makerere University putting it in second place with 23 points.

By the end of round 12, Kireka was in close range with DMARK and threatening the defending champions who are only one point
ahead.

DMARK is at the top of the table followed by  Kireka, Citycame third with  20 points , Mulago Kings (18) and SOM Academy 16 making the top five teams in division one.

Meanwhile in second division, Lweza Chess club takes the lead with 23points. Gambit (20) trails in line and in third place is Mulago Rooks
(18).
