It's a week of disaster after Hurricane Matthew struck Haiti, with the official death toll at 10 so far. Here's a look at that and what happened in other parts of the world on Wednesday . . .

Among this group are the first 37 failed asylum seekers. Besides 20 Pakistanis, 20 Algerians, this group includes five Moroccans, four Afghans, three Bangladeshis, one Sri Lankan, an Iranian and a Palestinian

South Korean coast guards try to rescue crew members of a stranded passenger ship in the aftermath of typhoon Chaba in the southern city of Yeosu. The typhoon hit the South Korean resort island of Jeju early on Wednesday, bringing heavy rains that flooded streets, forced flight cancellations and disrupted power to thousands of homes. More than 25,000 houses on the island of Jeju had their power supply disrupted, the Yonhap news agency reported, while Busan city announced the closure of 900 schools
