Aguti is suffering from an eye disease, which doctors described as ‘Keratoconus’.

Christine Aguti from Kidetok village in Serere district received help from good Samaritans, which enabled her to undergo an eye operation and she is grateful. However, she still needs more assistance.

Aguti is suffering from an eye disease, which doctors described as ‘Keratoconus'. She had an operation on her right eye at Agarwal Hospital in Kampala, following her story in our sister paper, Etop.

Readers mobilised on social media and collected over sh7m for the operation. However, she needs an operation on her second eye, which will cost over sh7m. Aguti's grandmother, Frances, said the post-operation drugs are also expensive.

"I had to buy two tubes at sh97,000 each for her treatment after the operation, plus other drugs," she explained.

Frances said Aguti, a P4 pupil of Kidetok Primary School, can no longer attend classes due to the pain in the left eye.

To assist her, contact Frances on 0783995712.
