Ndejje University started their premier league quest on a good note after defeating Artland Katale 1-0 away in the opening games of FUFA Big League on Thursday.

Ndejje who also double as the oldest team  in the tournament were favorites  last  season  to join the Azam Uganda Premier League.

Elsewhere, Paidha Black Angels drew 1-1 with Maroons in Zombo while Busia  Fisheries thrashed former top flight Simba  4-0.

The FUFA Big League is a second topflight football league in the country that is played in the Elgon and Rwenzori groups respectively.

The winners in both groups at the end of the season are promoted to the Azam Uganda Premier League while the second and third in both  groups undergo play-offs to decide the third team to join the top tier division.
