AFCON Qualifier

Sunday, Namboole

Uganda v Comoros

Ugandans seem edgily waiting for that moment when the Cranes will be facing Comoros on Sunday at Namboole Stadium.

And just barely 48 hours ago, Uganda Cranes coach Micho Milutin Sredojevic appealed to fans to turn up in bigger numbers to witness the historical moment 'as Cranes qualifies for the African Cup of Nations' after 39-years of waiting.

The last time Uganda set a foot at the AFCON tournament was in 1978 and Micho believes the Cranes are capable of doing wonders especially at the Nelson Mandela National Stadium as they attempt to split the joint top notch (10pts) in Group D against Burkina Faso.

But the battle between the two sides is likely to be a tough one after Comoro's Coach Amiredine Abdou also assured his home fans a 'must win' encounter during their away match.

The team was today evening having their second last training session at the KCCA grounds in Nakawa, Kampala ahead of the most awaited encounter.

Comoros starting squad; Ali Ahamada, Youssouf M'changama, ali Mmadi, Clement Daoudou, Kassim Ahamada, Nasser Chamed, Bakar Djamel, Mze Ali Ancoub, Omar Mdahoma, Mohamed Arkane, Ben Youssouf and Ahamadi Youssouf.
