Bishop Emeritus of Arua Catholic diocese, Fredrick Drandua has died. He succumbed to high blood pressure and diabetes.

Bishop Emeritus of Arua Catholic diocese, Fredrick Drandua has died. He succumbed to high blood pressure and diabetes.

According to the Episcopal Vicar of Ediofe Vicariate in Arua diocese, Msgr Casto Adeti the,  Dradua was first admitted to Maracha Hospital and later transferred to  Nsambya Hospital where he died.

Due to his deteriorating health condition, Drandua retired from Arua diocese on August 19, 2009.

Drandua was born in Uleppi Parish in Maracha district on August 12, 1943. He was ordained a priest on August 9, 1970.  Drandua was appointed bishop of Arua diocese on May 27, 1986 and consecrated bishop on August 15, 1986.
