Sharing Fighters 5 Kyambogo Buffaloes 0

Sharing Fighters came up big against Kyambogo Buffaloes, beating them by 5-0 in 9 innings at Gayaza as the second round of the National Baseball League got underway over the weekend.

It was the result they needed to gain confidence and focus as they look to top the table to secure a championship fixture against Joseph Drotti's AVRS who emerged top in the first round.

Skipper Robert Okello's heroics guided the Nsambya side to secure the three points.

He made a diving catch off Solomon Opio's fly ball in the seventh inning coupled with 2 runs as Sharing scored 5 in five innings in the no dingers game.

"We picked the momentum going forward and of course the training was really good before the second round. We hope to build on this" said Okello.

Tonny Opio's Kyambogo were kept at bay by Sharing's typically flawless defence led by pitcher David Arago who looked unhittable.

The strong armed sallying pitcher threw 9 innings, registering a match's best 9 strike outs, giving up just 2 hits to Kyambogo's Williams Watero.
