Andrew Okapis’ boys could not defend a lead against stubborn UCU

After Nemostars faltered against Uganda Christian University (UCU) in the NSSF National Volleyball League, the club has called for a strategic meeting improve its form.

The defending champions have lost two of their three league matches.

Andrew Okapis' boys could not defend a lead against stubborn UCU as they went down 3-2 in a decisive set on Saturday after an earlier loss against KAVC-A in midweek.

Louis Mubangizi was not allowed to play against UCU after he arrived late for the game while George Aporu continues to stay out with personal commitments leaving Smith Okumu and Tom Amou as the only regulars on the team.

"Most of my senior players are all committed in different roles out there. We don't get sufficient time to train together. We are trying to get a means to arrest this but its not easy," Okapis said.

Meanwhile, Sky Volleyball Club stand to lose three points if Uganda Volleyball Federation (UVF) gets to prove allegations that their setter John Bosco Opendi is also registered to play for Kenya Ports Authority  (KPA) in the Kenya Volleyball League.
