Dr. Isaac Ezati: Hundreds at ex-health ministry official's burial

Government officials and MPs are among the hundreds of people attending.

MARACHA - A funeral service and burial of Dr. Isaac Ezati, former director of health services planning and development at the health ministry got under way on Tuesday at his ancestral home in Ombia, Yivu in Maracha district.

Hundreds of top government officials and locals in the area attended the burial.

Makerere Uiversity Vice Chancellor Dr. Dumba Sentamu, the Bishop of Madi/West Nile diocese Dr. Joel Obetia, Retired Ambassador Obitre Gama and MPs from the region were some of the high-profile leaders at the send-off.

Maracha district plans to name a road at the town council and a building in Yivu subcounty headquarters after the fallen official in recognition of his contribution to the development of Maracha and the nation at large.

On Monday, a funeral service was held for Dr. Ezati at Makerere University in Kampala, where friends and family paid tribute to the fallen man.
