Government has no money for salaries says Kasaija

The staff are currently on a sit down strike and want government to fulfill the presidential pledge to provide 27 billion shillings to enhance their salaries

The minister of finance Matia Kasaija has confirmed that government has no money to enhance salaries of non-teaching staff in public universities.

The staff are currently on a sit down strike and want government to fulfill the presidential pledge to provide 27 billion shillings to enhance their salaries

Kasaija said the money was not budgeted for saying until it's budgeted for they shall not get it.
