Volleyball: Samaritan, Sunrise primary schoold to fight for honours

The two schools came top in the one-day build up tournament which attracted five primary schools.

Samaritan Primary School (Namugongo) will take on Sunrise Primary School from Matugga at the finals of the NSSF KAVC international Volleyball tournament due August 6-7 at Lugogo.

The two schools came top in the one-day build up tournament which attracted five primary schools.

According to Edgar Karungi the organizing committee chairman the tournament was aimed at exposing young talent but also exposing the young ones to other clubs and different stakeholders, and to continuously interest grassroots talent for nurturing into national potential.

Sunrise beat Samaritan in the girls' U-12 and U-14 categories and also beat St.James in the boys' category.

The players from the two schools will have chance to watch some of the big matches during the competition, learn a few tricks before fighting out for trophies in the U-12 and U-14 boys and girls categories.
