By 4:00pm on Thursday evening, hundreds of believers had converged at Jemba Plaza roof top in Kampala city center to participate in the weekly prayers.

The late John Baptist Kyeyune Mukajanga, founder of the JB Mukajanga Fire Ministries used to conduct prayers every Thursday at Jemba plaza and every Monday at Shawuliako Plaza, before he died last week.

Mukajanga, 42, was found dead at the home of his friend Samuel Okurut, in AKright City, Bwebajja, on Entebbe Road, last Saturday. He was laid to rest at Mt Sion Prayer Centre Bukalango, in Wakiso district, leaving many people in sorrow.

The Christians who turned up at Jemba Plaza looked sad, they started with reciting the Rosary. They later prayed to God to receive Mukajanga in heaven.

Justine Buwembo, one of the preachers told The New Vision in an interview that the Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Kampala, Dr.  Cyprian Kizito Lwanga together with a team of priests are scheduled to meet during this week, to discuss who should continue Mukajanga's Catholic Charismatic ministry officially.

"I have not taken over the JB ministries as it is being rumoured. The person who will take over the ministries and its duties will be appointed in that meeting," Buwembo clarified.

She added that for now the ministry is being run by a team of Christians who have been working with Mukajanga.

Later after the interview, Buwembo joined the congregation at the building's roof top and led the praising and worship, which brought smiles to the faces of the Christians, who had previously been sad.

Buwembo said that the Church does not belong to an individual, which was why the people should not stop praying, especially at Jemba Plaza.

"The ministry will continue. The Church is with us. Msgr. Expedito Magembe, our father is still with us," Buwembo told the congregation.

Buwembo, who was using a strong voice, told people to stop weeping for Mukajanga and instead celebrate his well lived life to enable him go to heaven.

She added: "JB prayed for many people and they received what they wanted; he left no enemy on earth and deserves all the prayers in the world to have a safe journey to heaven."

Peter Kusiima who attended the prayers said he learnt many things from Mukajanga, especially being a people-person.

He added that in faith people should continue believing and praying to God to get what they want as it has been when they were praying with Mukajanga.
