Kabakumba gets last laugh

She was a powerful minister not so long ago. Then as if haunted by benevolent spirits, Kabakumba Masiko's success cards started falling.

First, she was accused of using her position to get undue business advantage regarding her radio station, an accusation that cost her a ministerial post.

Then she contested in Bujenje and lost in the primaries. She decided to contest in Masindi municipality against minister Ernest Kiiza.

In Masindi, she was seen as a foreigner who had left Bujenje to impose herself on the people. Well, the people seemed to have rejected her, only then.

However, she has now won a petition against Kiiza  and is readying for the by-elections.
