As Joseph Ikong continues his tear through the National Basketball League (NBL), Power pick up the wins.

Ikong snatched a game-high 24 points and 10 rebounds as Power humbled old nemesis StarTimes Falcons 78-50 Wednesday at the YMCA to improve the league's second-best record to 8-2.

Power have had an impressive regular season even if questions about their title credentials abound.

However, few queries can be raised about Ikong's season thus far.

The NBL's top-scorer has simply been a joy to watch - combining his natural transition game with deadly three-point shooting and one-on-one play. The defense has been solid as usual and at this point of the season, only the City Oilers' Jimmy Enabu can be said to be tracking Ikong in the race for league MVP.

Ikong's efforts were complimented by Michael Makiadi, who had 18 points and 10 rebounds, while Paul Odong added 20 for Power, who led from wire-to-wire. The Falcons slumped to 2-8 and deeper into relegation trouble.

Sulaiman Bbaale gunned a team-high 17 for the Falcons while Stephen Omony was held to 10 points and 12 rebounds respectively.

In the ladies match, Vicky Ondiso sunk a game-high 18 points and A1 Challenge had four double-figure scorers as they overwhelmed the Magic Stormers 77-44. Victoria Ntale, Joanah Birungi and Sharon Kakunda nailed 14, 11 and 10 points respectively for A1, who outrebounded the Stormers 46-34.

Jackie Natocho and Aisha Kabange led the Stormers with 11 points apiece.
