A brilliant performance from Alfred Gumikiriza, Charles Segawa, Habib Sebuguzi and Fred Namanya kept Hot Pool in a different class from Boat Pool as the senior Pool League entered a neck-to-neck race over the weekend.

Gumikiriza opened the floodgates as Hot Pool led 9-0. But experienced Boats' Agaba Isaac, Godfrey Kaggwa and on form Hazard Lukomwa fought back but could not overturn the lead.

The win left Centenary Bank sponsored Hot Pool marginally atop of the standing with 27 points in 10 matches.

However defending champions Skin Samona, Scrap Buyers and CKI also posted positive results to maintain pressure on the tale leaders in the 16-team event.

Scrap Buyers also kept their stake high after a 14-11 win over visiting Capital Night to maintain second place on the log with 27 points with an inferior goal average behind Hot Pool.

Wasswa Kayiiya and Kamoga Uzair were on target for the Kisenyi based side to remain on course in the title race.

A 17-8 win from Skin Samona against Betway at Pacify put the Wakaliga side level at 24 points CKI who falter away against Club Klein in Masaka.
