Museveni attends ICGLR summit in Angola

The ICGLR summit is held under the theme: “Accelerating the effective implementation of the pact and its protocol for a more democratic and stable Great Lakes Region.”

 President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is in Angola for the 6th Ordinary Summit of International Conference of Great Lakes Regions (ICGLR).

The ICGLR summit is held under the theme: "Accelerating the effective implementation of the pact and its protocol for a more democratic and stable Great Lakes Region."

Angolan President Jose Eduardo dos Santos is the current chair of ICGRL.

The twelve ICGLR member countries include; Angola, Central Africa Republic (CAR), the Republic of Congo, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Sudan, the  Republic of South Sudan, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi and Zambia.
