Police in Amuru arrest 11 over artiste murder

Police in Amuru district have detained 11 people in connection with the death of a local artiste in Pabbo trading centre.

Vincent Odong aka Omo Kajura, 36, became famous by his songs like landlord, bedo ilobo tek and the newly released a song titled Cal ki dakta was hit on the head by a gang in Pabbo trading Centre.

The case was recorded at Amuru central police station on reference file No CRB 166/2016.

He was a resident of Kal Puru village, Kal Parish in Pabbo sub-county, Amuru district.

Patrick Jimmy Okema, Aswa river region police spokesperson confirmed the incident and said Kajura was hit on the head with a brick at around 3pm following a scuffle that broke out when he went to buy sachet of waragi where a group of youth was playing cards at night.

He said Kajura lost consciousness and was rushed to St Mary's hospital Lacor Pabbo branch health centre III at around 3am where he died.
