Medics urged to be assertive during negotiations

Gulu District speaker noted that communication is the key to success and every school leader and students should communicate whenever they have issues to be addressed

The Principal of Gulu School of Clinical officers, Grace Aninge, has urged students to be assertive when negotiating for better terms with the administration.

She was speaking during the induction of the newly elected guild representatives.

Aninge says students always strike not because the administration failed to provide for them but because of their own motives.

She asked the students to work within the law and school constitution and pay tuition fees early to enable the institution cater for their demands.

She asked the new guild students to be exemplary to protect the image of the institution.

Aninge noted; "I always see no reason for students in higher institution of learning striking for issue that can be solve without engaging into violence".

Gulu District speaker Douglas Peter Okello Okao noted that communication is the key to success and every school leader and students should communicate whenever they have issues to be addressed.

"Communication skills are very vital to everybody, students and school administrator must know how to communicate to each other to avoid violence to erupt" Okao added.

Okao asked students of Gulu school of Clinical officers to use peaceful resolutions of conflict whenever something has gone wrong and need immediate intervention.

"You should be your own ambassador to educate people on health issues in your own district instead of wasting time striking which will derails development" Okao added.

Okao said NRM Government will not tolerate any demonstrations which may interrupt peace of other people that why the current government is committed in maintain9ing peace in the country.
