Prayer has transformed BUL - goalkeeper

“We kneel before everyone in the middle of the pitch and a teammate leads us into prayer."

BUL FC have relished a turn of fortunes recently after winning their last three games.

The Jinja-based club were courting the relegation zone and their fans were beginning to make their displeasure known.

But with prayer, according to goalkeeper Franco Oringa, the mood has since changed among the players, staff and fans alike.

Oringa says that when they realized that they had started to go astray, the players sought divine intervention - and it appears to have worked.

"We pray so that God can give us strength, courage, endurance and belief to win a match. During our struggles, we played the blame game but now we support one another without quarreling."

"It's also important to know that veteran defender Derrick Walulya plays an important role to lead our backline. In that we have managed to play as a unit," adds Oringa.

BUL'S recent form has seen them beat Express FC (2-0), Simba FC (1-0) and Vipers FC (1-0).

Joseph Kiwanuka has been in charge of the club ever since head coach Alex Isabirye was given a one-month medical leave.

Isabirye returned to work on Monday ahead of his team's tricky home tie against his former side URA FC on Tuesday at Kakindu stadium .

BUL FC now lie in 8th position with 35 points .
