Prince Kassim Nakibinge has lauded former Chairperson of the Electoral Commission (EC) Hajji Aziz Kasujja as a man who lived an honest and transparent life.

Kasujja passed away on Sunday afternoon at Platinum Hospital in Wandegeya.

Kasujja had for some time been battling heart complications and was last year hospitalized in London, United Kingdom.

Nakibinge was speaking at funeral prayers for the deceased held at Kibuli Mosque. The prayers were attended by government officials, religious leaders as well as family and friends.

Hajji Mahmood Ssekimpi an uncle to the late Kasujja said he died so suddenly.

"We had a school meeting at Broadway High School in Kawempe which he attended and participated fully without showing any sign of illness so it was a shock to us. Ssekimpi said adding that Kasujja was committed to his duties.

Speaking on behalf of Government, Al Hajji Moses Kigongo said President Yoweri Museveni had sent his sincere condolences and sh20m towards the burial expenses.
