Amuru's Keyo Community Polytechnic gets new course

The course was introduced to reduce youth unemployment by training them to create their own jobs

Amuru-The National Social Security Fund (NSSF) has introduced welding and metal fabrication course at Keyo Community Polytechnic in Amuru district after donating welding and metal fabrication tools worth 8 million shillings.

The tools donated include; two metal grindings, sets of spanners, three switch board, a grinder machine, AC/DC switch, a box of socket bracket and two rolls of welding rods among others.

The donation was under their corporate social responsibility of giving back to their customers under the theme unlocking potential of the youth

John Aheebwa, Gulu branch manager NSSF says, the donation is to commemorate their customer service and reaffirm their commitment to provide services as a way of getting feedback from their clients and serve them better.

He added that they also introduced the course to reduce youth unemployment by training youth to create their own job in doing vocational work to earn a living.
