William Osire is convinced that Sundays victory marks his comeback in the title race at the Beach Woodball Circuit.
The Bank of Uganda staff came from fourth place to score 57 strokes in 12 fairways (5, 3, 6, 5, 5, 4, 5, 4, 4, 4, 5 and 7) to emerge winner in the men's category over the weekend at MUBS.
"I think I am on track and I just need to maintain this position if I am to win the overall title this season," Osire said.
Osire finished with one stroke better than Botladz Woodball Club player John Baptist Kateregga and Rodgers Tayebwa who tied at 58 strokes in second and third positions respectively.
Meanwhile in the women's side, Alexandria Sserukwaya has maintained her winning form after scoring 62 strokes to take the lead in the singles.
She was four points ahead of arch rival Shanaaz Luwedde with 66 strokes in second place followed by Nightrose Ikiring with 67 strokes.
