Ayeko had tendered in his resignation, accusing Obed of trying to influence team selection.

Soana FC coach Charles Ayeko, president Smart Obed and senior players have reconciled ‘for the good of the club'.

Ayeko had tendered in his resignation, accusing Obed of trying to influence team selection.

The players led by the team captain Hamis Kitagenda accused Ayeko of favouring younger ones contrary to Obed's agreements with them to help the club gain prominence.

According to his line up for the Azam Uganda Premier League match against SCVU on Friday, a number of senior players who were on the bench have returned.

"Now that each one of us has agreed to play their individual part without influence peddling, don't be surprised to see us finish as table leaders," Ayeko explained.

Soana has 13 senior players including Dan Wagaluka, Wakabu, Siraji Sevume, Siraji Turyamuhebwa, Hamis Kitagenda, Crespo Asiku, Muwadda Mawejje, Ayub Kiiza, Ndiefi Ssebaggala, Willy Kavuma and Samuel Ogutu.

Ayeko has not been fielding many of them on assumption that some players wanted to fail him. Soana FC lost against KCCA (2-0), The Saint FC (4-0) and but won against JMC Hippos (1-0) in their latest league matches.
