The Internal Security Organisation (GISO) operative of Buhuhira sub-county and his brother are admitted to Kilembe Mines Hospital after being injured in an attack by unknown people.
James Mulumbira, 35 (the GISO) and his elder brother, Johnson Mulumbira, 37, were attacked at around 8 p.m near Delta fuel station, along the Kasese-Fort Portal highway as they were retreating home.
"I was carrying my bother on a motorcycle. Four people stopped us. Immediately they started stabbing us. One stabbed me in the neck," the GISO narrated on his hospital bed on Wednesday, displaying the injuries.
"They would have cut my head off if I had not guarded myself with my arms. That is how they injured these arms," the GISO narrated.
"The attackers were four. I know them. They are all Rwenzururu Royal Guards based in my sub-county," Mulumbira said.
"After doing their dirty work, the attackers fled, probably imagining they had killed the GISO after stabbing him in the neck," Joseph Andama, the Crime Intelligence Officer attached to the Kasese-based Rwenzori East Regional Headquarters, confirmed.
Dr. Boris Bwambale, said they were both out of danger.
