SC Villa 4 JKU 0 (Zanzibar)

After their first leg thrashing of Zanzibar side Jeshi La Kujenga Uchumi, you wouldn't SC Villa to have any worries about the return leg.

But that isn't the case. The Jogoos are actually praying that they are in shape by the time they line up against the Indian Ocean side.

Villa's fears this time don't stem from the pitch but from the 1775.4 kilometre journey to Zanzibar.

The energy-sapping trip that has the Jogoos leaving at 4am on Wednesday will have them arrive in the Tanzanian capital Dar es Salaam at 11am tomorrow.

They will then board a ship to the island where they will the next day play on a not so familiar synthetic turf.

"I would have loved a faster way to travel. But that is beyond me. My job will be to ensure that the players remain focused," noted coach Ibrahim Kirya.

The team comprising five officials and 18 players will travel by Modern Coast bus.

Team captain Jonathan Mugabi admitted that the trip would have its toll but insisted that they would still battle and proceed in the continental event.

Citing recent trips to Dar es Salaam and Rwanda, Mugabi said that this would not be a new experience.

Should Villa recover in time and be able to upset the hosts, they would have maintained their record of home and away wins.

The Jogoos eliminated Sudan's Khartoum Watani 2-0 on aggregate in the earlier round.

Should Villa proceed in the competition they will face either UMS de Loum from Cameroon or Fath Union Sport of Morocco in the second round.

The two sides played to 1all draw in the first leg in Cameroon last weekend.

Meanwhile Caeser Okhuti opened his account for KCCA in the Azam Uganda Premier League since his mid-season move from Express FC with a brace in his side's 2-0 win yesterday over Soana FC at Nakivubo.
