Uganda Swimming Federation president Donald Rukare lauded Midland Group for supporting sports activities

Midland Group will continue supporting events that give Uganda's upcoming athletes the opportunity to nurture their talent and to represent the country on the international stage.

Drashna Kotecha, the director Midland Group, made the remark during a press briefing at Rainbow International School, venue for the second edition of the national primary schools swimming gala on Saturday.

"Uganda has many talented sports people and we have to support them as government also provides what it can manage," Kotecha said.

Uganda Swimming Federation president Donald Rukare lauded Midland Group for supporting sports activities and urged other firms to do so.

"With several international activities on the calendar, this event will help our athletes prepare and also improve on their times," Rukare stated.

Seven schools including Dafodils, Homisdallen, Kampala Parents and last year's winners Green Hill Academy will have swimmers in Saturday's event.
