NRM flag bearer wins Central Region Youth MP seat

The NRM party flag bearer has won the Central Region youth parliamentary seat with 323 votes in the elections which closed at 3.30 am.
 
The elections that were marred by bickering over allowances started after 6.30pm.
 
A total of 625 out the 990 participants voted in the elections presided over by Leticia Nantabo on February 29.

Some of the participants refused to vote and walked away over meagre allowances after their demands for an extra sh0.4m were rejected.

The New Vision learnt that the victory of Babirye is being challanged on grounds that she is over age (41) years.
