Magistrate orders vote recount for Aruu north

 

All is set for a vote recount in Pader next week, Monday at Pader court premises.

Kitgum Chief Magistrate, Okongo Japyem has ordered for vote recount in Aruu North following the petitioned filed in court by Kidega Nabinson James, the National Resistance Movement (NRM) party candidate .

Kidega filed the petition through his lawyer Okidi Walter Ladwar and company. advocate.

Chief magistrate Japyem ruled that a vote recount be done since both parties agreed for a recount.

On Friday, the magistrate Japyem ordered that the vote recount be conducted for the entire sub counties in Aruu North on Monday next week beginning at 9:00am.

Aciro Lucy Otim is being represented by Odonga Otto and company advocate.

Aciro Lucy,34, comes from Got Anyara Village, Kal parish, Atanga sub county Aruu North, Pader district.

She is married to Morris Ocaya of Panyakuru village Acholibur sub county in Pader district.

Kidega Nabbinson comes from Okinga Village, Kal parish, Acholibur sub county Pader district .

He is the son to former NITEP Coordinator commonly known as Lumoroand, a former inspector of schools east Acholi.

Aciro Lucy Otim polled 8997 whereas James Nabinson Kidega polled 8995 beating Kidega with only two votes margin.
