Museveni should offer me a job - Kyalya

Kyalya asked President Museveni for employment because she has nothing to occupy her in the next five years

After losing in the recently concluded presidential elections, Maureen Kyalya the sole female candidate in the race has conceded defeat and congratulated President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni on his win.

In an exclusive interview with XFM, Kyalya said that even though the elections were not free and fair, the outcome wouldn't change and called upon all Ugandans to rally behind President Museveni.

"Congratulating him is the peaceful option. We have children who will pay the price if we don't give up the fight," she said.

Kyalya further asked President Museveni for employment because she has nothing to occupy her in the next five years.

She says that if the President delays to call her for a job she will call him herself.

"I don t believe in serving Uganda only as a President. I'm not going to seat in my house for five years and wait for the next chance to run for presidency.

"I won't wait for the President to call me. I'll call him and say ‘please mzee .....can you post me somewhere?" This time I want to enjoy my money because every penny I've been getting has been for serving the people of Busoga so this time it's about enjoyment," Kyalya said.
