The Speaker of Parliament, Rebecca Kadaga, was destined to win the Kamuli woman MP seat according provisional results obtained Thursday night.

Her deputy Jacob Oulanyah was however reported to be losing Omoro constituency to opposition candidate Simon Tolit Akecha.

Vice President Edward Ssekandi was an NRM flag bearer was in the lead to retain the Bukoto central parliamentary seat in Masaka.

Trade, industry and cooperative minister Amelia Kyambadde was ahead of Mayinja Tebuseke (DP) and independent candidate Grace Kansiime in the challenge for Mawokota North.

The Leader of Opposition in Parliament Wafula Oguttu of FDC and Beatrice Anywar were also in the lead for Bukhooli constituency and Kitgum woman MP respectively. 

State minister for education John Muyingo and Abraham Byandaala (without portfolio) were leading in Bamunanika and Katikamu North constituencies respectively in Luweero district.
