Uganda hands over stolen UK cars worth sh84b

The vehicles included an assortment of top of the range BMWs, Audis, Range Rovers & a Lincoln estimated to be worth sh84b

Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) has handed over 24 stolen cars to UK authorities for repatriation to their owners.

The vehicles included an assortment of top of the range BMWs, Audis, Range Rovers & a Lincoln estimated to be worth sh84b.

 

This was at the URA offices in Nakawa at a press conference jointly addressed by URA Commissioner General Doris Akol and the British High Commissioner to Uganda Alison Blackburne.

Officials from Uganda Police, Interpol and the UK's National Crime Agency (NCA), APU Limited, National Vehicle Crime Agency as well as customs officials were also in attendance.
