President Yoweri Museveni has instructed the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM) to demarcate permanent boundaries for the Rwamwaja refugee settlement camp in Kibaale East constituency.

While campaigning at Nkooma Church of Uganda Primary School in the constituency, President Museveni revealed that he received information of conflicts between the locals and the refugees over the lack of boundaries.

Museveni noted that he ordered the Prime Minister's office to ensure that the boundaries are demarcated as soon as possible.

He further promised residents in the area that he would construct a Health Center III so as to decrease on the congestion at the current hospital located in the refugee settlement.

Rwamwaja settlement hosts over 80,000 refugees from the countries of Rwanda and DRC.
