Radio-TV presenter Mark Makumbi laid to rest

A large of number of mourners donned black T-shirts bearing Makumbi’s photo and a condolence message.

Former Bukedde TV and CBS FM presenter Mark Augustine Makumbi was on Saturday laid to rest at Ssumbwe in Wakiso district.

He succumbed to cancer of the intestines on Thursday after being bedridden for a long time.

He is survived by a wife and two children.

On Saturday, a large of number of mourners donned black T-shirts bearing Makumbi's photo and a condolence message.

A number of TV and radio presenters, music artistes, dramactors among other entertainers attended the burial under wet weather.

Buganda, local government officials and other politicians also attended the burial.

Makumbi worked at Radio Sapientia and joined Buganda Kingdom's CBS FM as a sports presenter concurrently presenting on Vision Group's Bukedde TV.

Tributes continue to flow on social media to the late presenter.
