The social media campaign message of National Resistance Movement(NRM) presidential candidate Yoweri Museveni, has been launched with a rallying call for belief in steady progress

The social media campaign message of National Resistance Movement(NRM) presidential candidate Yoweri Museveni, has been launched with a rallying call for belief in steady progress.

The message was launched on Friday by the chairman of the historical leaders’ forum Alhaji Ali Kirunda Kivejinja, at the NRM facts gathering bureau, Tuongee 207 Call Centre in Kampala.

The first social media message, in three-minute video clips is in English, Luganda, and Runyakitara, shows Museveni, also President of Uganda, highlighting what his vision for Uganda in the next five years.

Museveni acknowledges Uganda’s infamous past, the achievements made from time of ascension to power in 1986, the progress made so far, the challenges and what the NRM intends to do for Uganda.

“NRM has restored the dignity of our country, restored the pillars of the state, and set us on a path of growth.We have set a foundation which was not there before.If you vote for me, you are guaranteeing a stable future,” Museveni states in part,in the clip.

Kivejinja said with candidate Museveni and the NRM, the country is in safe hands, since the party’s ideology foundation is rooted on a firm foundation.

“NRM is the epitome of earlier struggles. For us, we came to appreciate this at a certain historical stage,” Kivejinja said.

Tuongee senior leader Odrek Rwabwogo, explained that Museveni’s traditional and social messages, would gradually be disseminated  in all languages spoken across the country.

Rwabwogo noted that the 100 call agents speak diverse languages from the broad spectrum of Uganda, and are available to explain the message  and the NRM manifesto.

Tuongee chairman Pradip Karia, emphasised that the Call centre is a fully-fledged information centre, intended to give and also receive information.
