More professionals turn up for Cranes first training

Eight professional and two home-based Uganda Cranes players have just concluded their first training session at the Kololo Ceremonial Grounds ahead of their two World Cup qualifying games against Togo.

Professionals Robert Odongkara, Isaac Isinde, Brian Umony, Tonny Mawejje, Hamis Kiiza, Murshid Juuko, Moses Oloya and Geoffrey Kizito and home based Caesar Okhuti and Isaac Muleme attended the training at Fitness Paradise Centre in Kololo.

Striker Geoffrey Massa, who is reported to be already in the country and the rest of home-based players, who did not show up because of league engagements at their respective clubs, are expected to join the squad in time for residential camp at Sky Hotel tomorrow.
 
The team is expected to fly out to Lome in a chartered plane on Wednesday, play Togo the following day, (November 12, 2015) before the return leg on Sunday, November 15 2015.

FUFA has invited President Yoweri Museveni as chief guest for the home game.

President Museveni has pledged over sh230m for the engagement against Togo, a chartered plane and a pledge of $2000 per player if Uganda Cranes eliminate Togo from the qualifiers.

FUFA international match organising committee boss Bernard Ogwel announced that the federation has ordered for 42,000 tickets for the return leg because they expect a bumper turn up of fans.

Ordinary tickets will be sold at sh20,000, sh50,000 for VIP and sh120,000 covered seats (VVIP).
