Vision Group is selling rosaries to fundraise for the Pope visit and renovation of Martyrs’ Shrines of Munyonyo and Namugongo. The rosaries, set at sh100,000, arrived at Entebbe Airport from Rome yesterday and priority will be given to those who have already paid. Juliet Lukwago asked people whether they are ready to buy the rosaries at that amount.

Mary Walusimbi, Busega

As a Catholic women leader in my parish, I will buy the rosary to show example to others.

Martin Mugabe, teacher

I will buy to fundraise.

I saw the work at Namugongo.
We need the money.

I appeal to my dear brothers and sisters to buy the souvenir rosaries.

Sr. Florence Nakaweesi Nsambya

I will buy it because of its purpose. Secondly, I want to support the church.

Emmanuel CardinalWamala,

Yes! Why not?

We know the reason we are buying them at such an amount. In fundraising, someone can buy a basket of tomatoes at sh3m when the actual value is sh5,000. And in some countries, rosaries and other church items are very expensive.

The purpose is noble and right. I call upon Ugandans to support the church. Buy the rosary for love.

trueMsgr Charles Kasibante

This is not the price for rosaries. The amount is not a lot for fundraising purposes. I urge the public to buy them.

trueMildred Berebera, Zzana

I have already registered to get one. I will buy it as my brick to the reconstruction of the shrines.

trueRose Odida, Namugongo

I have already paid. I am waiting to pick my souvenir Rosary. I call upon others to buy in order to support God’s work.

trueSr. Christine Kiiza, Ggogonya

I have no problem buying the rosary at such an amount.

A rosary is a beautiful prayer for Mother Mary, she always intercedes for us to her son, Jesus Christ.

trueSr. Joseph Stephen, Rubaga

I have no money, but it would have been my wish to buy this rosary from Rome.

I would love to contribute to this noble cause.

trueFr. Jacinto Kibuuka, Bukalango

I will buy the rosary. Vision Group has promised it will not take even a single coin from this money.

All of it belongs to us, the church.

trueRobert Kintu Busega

I would have bought one, but I cannot afford it.

However, I bought five tickets for the Papal walk; that is as far as

I could go for my church.

true Esther Nayema, Namugongo

I am willing to buy one.

I wish they allowed us to pay in instalments because it is good as a souvenir.

trueFr. Mirundi, Namugongo

I can even buy  10 rosaries.

These are special from Rome and with the Pope’s blessing. Even if they are plastic or glass, It is not a prohibitive amount.
