Promising Police netball team take on in form side Prison in the men's category of the National Netball League at the Makerere University sports grounds on Saturday.

The crime preventer’s lost 46-43 to UPDF in their previous encounter and according to their coach Fred Mugerwa, it’s the reason they need to win the game to put that record right.

“It could seem like they are the better team because of the number of experienced players on their team but we are very ready to put up a strong challenge,” Mugerwa said.

But just like Mugerwa wishes for the victory, Prisons coach Imelda Nyongesa also seems set to rewrite their performance showcased in 2012 when they won the league title.

“We have a target and we must win so as to keep our hopes high as we look towards reclaiming the title we lost two years ago,” she stated.

Meanwhile in the other women’s encounter, champions NIC will be looking at continuing their unbeaten run as they take on weaker side Posta.

In the men’s quest, defending champions are up against Red Star in the first game of the season at the same venue.
