The Pope''s Visit Rosaries arrive

Vision Group Chief, Robert Kabushenga yesterday announced the arrival of the special edition rosaries in the country. The Chief Executive Officer, (CEO) said the first batch of the rosaries will arrive today or tomorrow by DHL.

Vision Group Chief, Robert Kabushenga yesterday announced the arrival of the special edition rosaries in the country. The Chief Executive Officer, (CEO) said the first batch of the rosaries will arrive today or tomorrow by DHL.
 
“I am happy to announce that the first batch of the long awaited rosaries finally left the Vatican,” Kabushenga said. “There were a few logistical issues here and there that delayed the arrival. But God willing, they will be here on Friday or Saturday.”
Deacon John Mary Kibirige, who was I charge of following the rosaries in Rome said from Rome that the first batch was on its way to Entebbe.
 
“We have cleared with the authorities and handed over to DHL, Uganda,” he said.
 
Vision Group launched two fundraising drives for the reconstruction of Namugongo and Munyonyo shrines as well as facilitating the pope’s visit. 
 
The Papal Walk is taking place tomorrow Oct 31. Walkers pay sh10,000 to register for the walk from Kololo to Namugongo. Flag off will be at 8:00AM. On arrival, walkers will be allowed inside the Martyrs grounds to see the development so far. According to the Vision Accounts section, by Thursday morning, the money for the walk had crossed the sh120m mark.

Vision Group also ordered for 100,000 rosaries from Rome to be sold at sh100,000 each. The limited number of a special edition were supposed to raise sh10b. So far about 9,000 people have paid for the rosaries and thousands more registered.
 
“Once they arrive here, we shall first deliver to all those who have paid wherever they are,” Kabushenga said. “My wish is that they arrive on Friday so that I can start selling during the Papal Walk. But even if they don’t, the good news is that they are finally on the way.”
 
The CEO thanked everybody who has participated in the fundraising to give the pope a dignified visit. He said there are only three weeks in which to sell the rosaries.
