Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) executive director Jennifer Musisi said she was ready for the Martyrs Walk to Namugongo.

Musisi was speaking at the KCCA offices at City Hall, while hosting Vision Group chief executive officer, Robert Kabushenga. Kabushenga had gone to invite her to participate in the Papal charity walk on Saturday.

Musisi said KCCA members were ready for the walk.

“We are also working on places the Pope is expected to visit in Kampala,” she said.

“Our work on several roads is on schedule and expected to be completed before the Pope arrives,” she added.

“All city roads will have street lights. Works on installation of about 500 solar lights have already started. We have begun removing old poles and are installing the new ones around the city,” she said.

She said, KCCA will install new street surveillance cameras to get evidence to charge offenders.
