President receives credentials of new envoys

President Yoweri Museveni has received credentials of the new Danish, Norwegian, Colombian and New Zealand envoys who have been accredited to Uganda by their respective countries.

President Yoweri Museveni has received credentials of the new Danish, Norwegian, Colombian and New Zealand envoys who have been accredited to Uganda by their respective countries.

The four separate ceremonies took place on Friday at State House, Entebbe and were witnessed by the Minister of State for Regional Affairs, Philemon Mateke.

Museveni warmly welcomed Mogens Pedersen of Denmark to Uganda.

He assured the envoy that Uganda is ready to deepen further her collaborative relationship with the Nordic country.

Museveni told the new Norwegian Ambassador, Susan Eckey, that the Government of Uganda cherishes much the vibrant relations that the two countries enjoy.

He assured her that the Government would work to strengthen more the relationship that happily exists between Norway and Uganda.

Receiving the letters of credence of the new Colombian Ambassador, Maria Eugenia Correa Olarte, Museveni said that Uganda looks forward to cultivating more collaborative relations with the South American country. 

Later, the President congratulated Bruce Rata Shepherd, as the High Commissioner of New Zealand to Uganda.
