Fans brave heavy down pour at Jinja's Omudhogimo Concert

The ‘Omudhogimo’ concert revealers braved the continuous heavy down pour at Jinja rugby ground to enjoy their favourite musicians’ performance.

The ‘Omudhogimo’ concert revealers braved the continuous heavy down pour at Jinja rugby ground to enjoy their favourite musicians’ performance.

The concert organized by a local TV station on Sunday, attracted a huge crowd.

The stage with erected speaker which delivered marvelous sound was constructed by Silk events.

Fans danced and sang along their favourite artists’ songs as others cuddled their loved ones throughout the cold and rainy night with umbrellas above their heads.   

Upcoming artists from Jinja who included Sandra, Ann Flavour, Mcee Crazy and Park U did the curtain raising.

It stopped raining for a moment and resumed at about 5:40pm amidst King Saha’s performance and this time with strong winds.

However, performances went on and there came the Golden Band members who included Ronald Mayinja , Messach Ssemakula, Grace Ssekamatte, Doreen Mutibwa, Stencia Mayanja, Catherine Kusasira, Sophie Nantongo, Dr. Hilderman and Fred Seruga among others who showcased an energetic performance while on stage.

Ssemakula engaged the crowd during his performances when he invited some on stage to dance the Kiganda dance as he sang Njagala Nyimbire Omutanda.

After Golden Band, the New Eagles led by Geoffrey Lutaya came on stage.

Lutaya performed alongside his wife Irene Namatovu and received applause from the crowd.

Big Eye performed his favourite songs but was angered by the instrumentalists who cut him short to give way for other artists to perform.

Bebe Cool came on stage at about 10:00pm and sang his old and new songs and concluded with his Love You Everyday hit that excited the crowd.

Ziza Bafana came on stage and worked the masses after Bebe Cool.

Other artists who rocked revelers included Bobi Wine, Stabua Natoro, Aziz Azion, Eddie Kenzo, Maro, Willy Mukabya and Abdul Mulasi among others.
