All is set for the Federation of Uganda Employers (FUE) 4th annual Women’s Leadership Conference slated for October 16th.

Rosemary Ssenabulya, the FUE executive director pointed out a recent media briefing that the meeting will have representatives from Norway, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Ethiopia and Uganda.

The event will be held under the theme “Women Empowerment: The Business Case for Women in Leadership” and will be presided over by Ahuna Eziakonwa-Onochie, the UN resident representative and UNDP resident coordinator.

This year’s Conference will be special as it will officially launch the United Nations Women Empowerment Principles (WEPs) in the country. The WEPs are a joint initiative of the UN Global Compact and UN Women offering practical guidance to business on how to empower women.
