MR. Universe Ivan Byekwaso is not taking any chances in his quest of winning gold in the World Cup natural body building championship, due November 7, in San Diego and the Natural Olympia that follows thereafter in Las Vegas, November 12-15.

The 32 year old left early for the championships, to have extra preparation and one-month training with renowned San Diego based natural bodybuilding coach Gaspar Lorenzo ahead of the two events, courtesy of Pemba Sports Africa.

Before he left Jackson Pemba, the chairman of the sports promotion company called on all Ugandans to rally behind the muscleman before presenting him a business class air ticket and $20,000 (Sh73m) for training accommodation and upkeep while in the US.

"Let us all wish him the best so that he wins those two events, we promised to send him back and we have delivered, lets us all hope for the best," Pemba said.

"Like I always do, I have to thank God, the UBBFA, and Pemba Sports for being there for me. My dream has always been to promote the country through bodybuilding on the international level and without making empty promises, I will come back with a medal, I'm excited and only waiting for the contest" Byekwaso said.

"I was there last year and won bronze, and after training with an expert I promise not to let Ugandans down; I only need your prayers; I no longer compete for positions but the championships and if I win Uganda will have a chance of hosting the same championship in 2017 or 2018,"

This will be Byekwaso's second time at the Natural Olympia having won a bronze at the event last year.

Two other Ugandan body builders Mr. Kampala Mubarak Kizito and runner-up Robert Yiga will later join Byekwaso in the same championship.

Lorenzo Gaspar is not only considered to be one of America's foremost fitness gurus but internationally as well with fitness and bodybuilding athletes for their peak performance.

He received the Coach of the Decade award by the International Natural Bodybuilding Association (INBA) for his dedication and his contest preparation expertise in making of champions of natural competitive fitness and bodybuilding athletes worldwide.
